Good sushi, I mean for the hills of Tennessee its pretty solid.

This is one place I wish would open up on the west coast. The food is always good and portions are really large and chefs are very Interactive. Plus you cant beet the prices. And the freaking Japanese ketchup taste soooo good on everything.

I ate sushi and it was average, not sure I'd eat there again though, I had about 5 different servers all waiting on me from time to time but nobody available when you needed them bc they were all running around so fast and not making eye contact and spoke poor English. The Ginger dressing on the salad was horrible, i did not even eat my salad bc of the dressing, and the soup was just mediocre. By far was not near the top of my favorite restaurant list in the Pigeon Forge area though I would eat the sushi again and would like to have tried their Hibachi.

A good little sushi spot in Pigeon Forge. The soup was a bit lifeless, but the sushi was super fresh. I honestly wasn't expecting a sushi place of this caliber in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Good find!

  • Jason L.

The Hibachi was very good. The cook was funny and energetic. Filet was good. The shrimp could have been a little higher quality. Overall a very good experience.

Little Tokyo is such a pleasant surprise for the Pigeon Forge area. If in the area, this place is a must and a great alternative to the majority of the other dining options in the area. *Exceptional Lunch Specials (In fact, I'd STRONGLY suggest going for lunch over dinner. Same portion sizes, but different pricing.) *Fresh, Delicious Sushi *Great Hibachi (They do only appear to have one chef. However, the wait was not at all inconvenient. Generous portions.) *Attentive Service

  • David G.

Food was amazing and service was good. No wait for a regular table on a Saturday night (there was a wait for the hibachi grill seating). Portions are huge, so come hungry! Highly recommend!

  • Jenna W.

Great sushi and hibachi!! Sushi was extremely fresh tasting and out if this world! My husband really enjoyed the little Tokyo hibachi combo. Definitely suggest making a stop here.

  • J G.

Horrible. I'm not sure if the other reviewers have ever experienced real sushi/ hibachi...but this place is awful. Instead of Miso soup, they gave us chicken broth. The sushi was fishy, ginger salad dressing was watery, and the service was terrible. Keep driving.

  • Susan C.

Stopped in for sushi around 7pm and servers were friendly and fast. Sushi was very good though could have been rolled tighter (or used stickier rice?). Some rolls fell apart when picking up w chopsticks, but taste was good!

I was looking for something healthier on the road so I stopped here on my way through based on other reviews. Sushi was my choice but there was no lunch special. All items were a la cart, no combination plates were offered. I was disappointed at the price and enviously eyed other diners who had chosen hibachi meals at a good price. I paid more, had less and left not quite full. Food - 3 Service - 4 Atmosphere - 2

    (3)
  • B K.

Very good & good price. BUT takes a long time for cook to come out because they try to get the tables full before they start cooking. And I don't like how they take your glass away & take where you can't see it to refill your drinks.

  • Letitia C.

We had stopped here on our first night of vacation because we were interested to see if they had decent hibachi in TN. Everything tasted just fine but it was just average. The chef was fun and the waitress kept checking on us.

    (4)
  • Nate D.

The food was very, very good. It's not the biggest or most fancy place. Our cook had some good jokes but not a lot of flare. We went for lunch and I got the chicken and ribeye for $9.49. It was a ton of food for your dollar. My wife got three meals out of it.

Will never go back. We got into Pigeon Forge and saw that the reviews on this place weren't too bad so we thought we'd try it. We just sat at a regular table and ordered edamame, 2 sushi rolls, and a kids hibachi plate. The sushi came out after about 15 minutes, which is reasonable. We did not start eating though because our son did not have his food yet. 25+ minutes later, his food finally showed up. We never got our edamame. We are patient and don't let things bother us, but the whole experience was negative. The kids hibachi plate tasted pretty good, but the sushi was just so-so. We'll stick with more well known places from now on.

Best sushi in pigeon forge/gatlinburg. The hibachi is amazing.

  • Herb F.

We were ready to get out of the touristy restaurants and enjoy a meal that didn't involve biscuits or barbecue. The fresh sushi, nice miso, and courteous service did the trick. It felt like we were a world away from the chaos that is Rt 441.

  • Kyle K.

We stopped in to get carry out sushi. I would not recommend the sushi to anyone with an experienced palette. It was average at best. The only reason that I am giving this a 3 star is because of the spring rolls we ordered with it were really good. It gives hope for the rest of it besides the sushi. The service was really good and the people were nice.

  • Jon H.

This is a typical Japanese restaurant. Good 4-Star, good service, good show, good food, very good price. This restaurant is a little tucked away but worth the trip for good Japanese food. The best 5-Star Japanese restaurant in the area is about an hour drive from Pigeon Forge in West Knoxville --- Wasabi's!!

We skipped the hibachi and had sushi. I ordered one kids chicken hibachi for both my kids and it was big enough for both of them to eat. My husband and I ordered like 5 different kinds of sushi, I can't remember exactly what we had but we finished every single bit of it! Our food was served hot, fresh, extremely quick and it tasted delicious. Our server was kind, very knowledgeable about the menu and food and to top it off she was quick with getting out food out. My only complaint was we waited over an hour to be seated. Mind you we had our two little kids with us. We waited not because service was slow but because it was Saturday night and there were 2 large parties of 10+ people. The place is not that big, so there's not a huge dinning area. But thank god for the bar! My husband and I downed shots of sake, wine and beer. Surprisingly our kids weren't too bad and all the other people waiting, about 10 or so, weren't complaining. Would we come back...?? Mmmmm, maybe...definitely not on a Saturday night again.

This isn't the best but no where near the worst. We come here almost every time we are in the area. We eat at the hibachi grill and order sushi also. California Roll is one of the best. Salmon is not great, but I'll still order it. Haven't tried the other sushi orders as my kids share my Shrimp & Chicken from the grill but I still can't finish everything.

This is one of my families favorite places for oriental food. we love having the hibachi are food is always fresh and cooked just how we like it. The yum yum sauce or better known as shrimp sauce is just that yum yum! The staff is friendly and sweet. Always busy but worth the wait.

  • Christopher G.

The service was good. The food was average for sushi. White Tuna sashimi was just ok. Would not return but doesn't mean that you wouldn't like this place.

Excellent food, the Hibachi chef was entertaining. a gem of a place in Pigeon Forge.

  • Ange D.

Not bad. I was nervous about the type of sushi we would find in Pigeon Forge, but this was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Seems to be good for families and groups. Sit at the sushi bar and skip the wait list.

  • Arpit S.

Food was good as was the service. With limited hibachi in Pigeon Forge, this place hit the spot.

Loved thier Sushi. Service was fast and staff was friendly. Would Certainly go back

It's a rare find in Pigeon Forge among all the American restaurants. The food there was a little bit overpriced, but had decent taste. If you are there for dinner, I would recommend the fish and scallop habichi combo.

Little Jewel in the middle of a sea of mediocre restaurants. Fantastic sushi in a very nice enviroment and amazingly affordable.

Best Sushi in the Smokies. Always fresh and tasty. Try the Ruby Roll or the Dynamite Roll, both are awesome. Great service, friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

I was a little apprehensive about trying a sushi restaurant in a place like Pigeon Forge. But Little Tokyo was one of our best finds while staying here. It's a locally owned sushi bar & hibachi grill. It's very clean and the sushi was surprisingly fresh. They have some very unique rolls, my favorite being one with shrimp and almonds served with an eel sauce (sorry i don't remember what it's called). The best bet for (non-pesco) Vegetarians is the hibachi part of the menu. Do Beware that the soup that comes with your meal is a very oniony chicken broth based soup. However they did bring us a bowl of miso upon request. The service was very friendly and attentive. This is the place that the locals go.

  • Jaden K.

Awesome atmosphere, complete with a small balcony to sit on. If you want lunch, this place has inexpensive hibachi lunch specials and low priced sushi rolls.

    (5)
  • Victor M.

From the start the service was excellent. I figured lunch specials would be small but damn I was wrong. The portions were huge and I was trying to figure out if it was lunch or dinner. I had the habashi ribeye and chicken which came with fried rice and veggies. Overall best place I've eaten in Pigeon Forge. A must!!

  • Brian L.

Great if your into watching your food being cooked. Standard hibachi restaurant fare. Food was good. Service was great. If you haven't been to this style of restaurant, it's worth going at least once - just for the experience. Be sure to ask your chef for extra sauce, the teriyaki is relatively good. We had steak, chicken and shrimp, all was delicious. VERY PRICEY for what you get. I'd rather save money and eat elsewhere.

    (3)
  • Cross F.

Fast service, good food, and a fair price relative to other hibachis. The grill cook was friendly and made sure to accommodate special requests. The atmosphere could be better, but over all I think this was a great place to eat.

  • A C.

Great food! Worth every penny! We eat hibachi a lot and this is our new favorite. Cook has great personality and we were sat in no time. Scallops were huge, steak and chicken were very tasty! Spring rolls were also good, didn't taste frozen or mushy inside.

  • Kailain C.

My fiancé and I ate here for lunch. We was so surprised how much food you got. It was like we were eating dinner. You get soup, salad, and your entree for lunch. We both got steak it was 8.99 each and it was a full size ribeye for each of us. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend Little Tokyo to anyone looking for quality Japanese.

  • Jennifer L.

We eat here every time we come to PigeonForge. The service is great, the food is excellent, and portions are unbelievably large. We frequent hibachi, and this place prepares the best hibachi seafood I've had. The lobster, shrimp, and scallops are cooked perfectly.

  • Jessa L.

My boyfriend ordered us the sashimi plate which I was a tit bit nervous about; however, there was nothing to fear!! The fish was not fishy! A good sign when eating raw. The flavor was definitely there though the cuts weren't the best I've ever experienced. We also ordered the Spicy Tuna--it had some heat but didn't light my mouth on fire, thankfully. The kiwi was a very nice & unique touch. The Tokyo Volcano had fire to it! Oh boy, my mouth burned--great flavor, nice presentation and hot hot hot. The place is small so you could have a fair wait but it was worth it. We were seated at the sushi bar where we were very well cared for. Great experience

  • Deneane B.

Fantastic, fresh food!! And plenty of it! Waiter was very attentive and friendly!! This was my first visit and I was not aware food portions are huge here so next time I will be ordering less! The Ribeye and Shrimp combo dinner was great, steak melted in your mouth and shrimp was tender. I will definitely be back in my next trip...

I'm being completely honest.. Service: 2/5, the gentleman who came around for us to put our drink order in was a little arrogant. Next, when asked about napkins he brought them out but then acted as if the restaurant was on a budget and handed them out carefully. Did I mention that getting a refill came after I had finished the course of my meal? Sushi: 3/5, if you're looking for a unique well prepared sushi this is not the place. The sushi is very generic. Hibachi: 2/5, generic, generic, GENERIC. The rice was actually very good, however the steak was just 'ok' not anything to marvel at. The shrimp were unfortunately over cooked :/, and they were fishy. (Granted you're in pigeon forge) Overall I'm not impressed and the rating was very misleading. I've been on vacation from New Orleans to Florida , and now here for the last week.. And have wanted nothing more then quality hibachi and sushi.. I didn't find it here. There was no seasoning, the sauce wasn't great. 1/5 is my final rating. To end positivity this business has potential to succeed but as of now they're failing, I wish them the best.

Very good fried sushi! We had the OMG and Spicy tuna. Both were tasty. The miso soup was average. The ginger dressing on the salad was the worst I've ever had. The Hibachi (we just ate in a booth, not at grill) were huge portions. We could have shared 2 plates amongst my husband and 2 sons and me. And still had some left!!!. The steak was a little better than the chicken, but both were good. The fried rice was very good, and my youngest loved that it didn't have tons of those icky veggies in it! Service could have been quicker. Took 20 min to get our soups and salads. But they were friendly, so that made up for it. We will be fighting for the Leftovers for dinner. Lucky for mom, there is enough for all 3 of my guys!

We had a party of 7. We had great service and the guy cooking our food on the hibachi grill was very pleasant and skilled. We really enjoyed ourselves! It was very warm seated at the grill, but expected.

Our family loved it. Very delicious and affordable lunch hibachi for 10 people . Cooked with lots of flavor and style. Also ordered some lobster rolls that were very flavorful.

If you're craving good sushi, this is not the place. The place was nice, service was good but would not go there again. -For starters we ordered ginger salad which was prob the worst ginger salad I've ever had. The ginger dressing tasted gritty, the lettuce was pale, and it was swimming in lemon which was so acidic I couldn't even finish it. -The sushi wasn't what I expected either. I had a double dragon roll and a French kiss. He had spicy tuna (forgot what else he had) -My dragon roll I think had egg? I'm not sure but it had this weird gritty taste to it that just overpowered everything else. I ended up picking it out just so I wouldn't have to taste it. The French kiss roll just had too much going on, it was like having a buffet of seafood stuffed in your mouth and you can't really taste what you're eating. Props to the spicy mayo that I had to put on these rolls to make them taste better. -My boyfriend had spicy tuna, which had kiwi on top and it would have been delicious had it not been for some coconut sauce they put on top. Why ruin the roll? The other roll he had was just plain, and he ordered another roll with tempura chicken, but they cut a giant piece of salmon on top that overpowered the roll as well. I don't think they know how to balance their rolls and their cuts were all just too big. On the upside we had miso soup which was probably the highlight of this place. It was hot and tasty which is why I give this review 2 stars. But we didn't come here for soup we came for sushi and sadly it was not worth the price.

  • Jaramie B.

The cook was very shy so it wasn't the greatest entertainment I've ever had but the prices were very nice on hibachi. Sushi prices were a little high. I ordered a roll with lobster, avocado, salmon and ect. Only on about 5 of the 8 rolls was there avocado, so that was slightly disappointing. The staff was nice and it was a very clean place.

Visiting from Maryland and decided to give this restaurant a try. Boy was that a great choice!!!! They were so friendly and the sushi was AMAZING! If I lived here this would be my sushi place!! I'am actually sad we aren't here longer to eat here again! May need to visit just for the sushi!!

Had lunch here and was excellent. The sushi was fresh and phenomenonal. The habachi steak was great. Next time I'll have Sake.

Can't go wrong . Service was quick, and efficient. Place was clean. Food was well prepared and hot. Salads were fresh, ginger dressings were spot on. Noodles were a little over cooked though.

    (4)
  • Danielle T.

The food was great. Sushi was especially good. I'm only giving 3 stars because they crammed our large party at one grill by pulling up a table for 2 of the people to sit at. And the wait was long. The restaurant is small and crowded.

  • Eric W.

Sushi was fantastic! Didn't try the hibachi. It's tough finding decent places to eat while on vacation, especially in such a touristy local. It's got to be even tougher to find a good place, especially when dealing with raw fish. Every place you go usually has some gimmick or they're just trying to turn over tables each night. This place did not seem like one of them, although we try to venture out late to avoid the huge dinner crowds. We've had sushi all over the country and this was some of the best tasting. The raw salmon, scallops, and conch were very fresh. The soft shell crab appetizer was great. Definitely suggest. Prolly the best roll I've ever had, The Tokyo Roll - just amazing. Crab-lobster-octopus all with the perfect amout of spicey. Wait staff barely spoke english but who cares. They checked up on us often and refilled our drinks when they got half empty.

  • Betsy E.

We are here after someone recommended it. Ordered miso soup which was excellent. Also ordered 3 sushi rolls. All were good but "French kiss" was our favorite. Service was excellent, bathrooms are very clean. Watching the hibachi grills was cool also. Prices were comparable to other sushi restaurants we have visited. We would go back!

I have been searching for a good Sushi restaurant..... I found this one very good. Being from Washington state I am very spoiled when it comes to the freshness and quality if Sushi. I was not disappointed... My husband had the hibachi and it was fantastic as well. Wait staff was a little dry, but we will definitely go back....

We have hibachi back home in Florida and were craving it while on vacation. Unfortunately, this was not it. Service was nice, but food not so much. The shrimp tasted fishy and was inedible. The rest of the food was lacking seasoning.

    (2)
  • Jill M.

Came in for lunch and sat at the hibachi table. Great value and the food was really good, especially the rice. The chicken was a little overcooked, but still good. Very good value and used the coupon, Would definitely come back.

    (4)
  • Sara D.

Good food for the price. Don't like that they try to make you wait as long as they can to get a table full before they start cooking. But the food is usually good. They must have changed the shrimp cause Thayer not as good as they use to be.

    (4)
  • Jen G.

Utilize their specials such as lunch specials or early birds specials! Same amount of portions served at the hibachi grill, just caught the early bird (mon-fri, 3pm-5pm) dinner special. Wasn't busy and great service! Chef did great with my 2 young boys (5 and 2) and interacted with them. Foods delicious and this meal was our cheapest meal while on vacation and we expected this to be our most expensive and we ordered Sushi but did not order soft drinks or alcohol, just water for everyone and Japanese noodles for my youngsters as they also shared our meals and still had plenty of leftovers. Our total bill was $37 for 2 adults and 2 child's lo mein noodles and leftovers to take back to our cabin!

I have never been to pigeon forge before and my friend recommended this place for sushi. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, coming from California where good food is never hard to find, most of the japanese places I have tried in the area have been subpar. The environment is well lit and nicely spaced out. The sushi was fresh and they had a good selection of specialty rolls. My boyfriend and I ordered the tropical roll and the yellow tail w/ scallion. They were both delicious and I would recommend them to my friends and family. We also shared a hibachi rib eye steak dinner. The sauce on the plate was delicious and the portions were generous, however I think the steak was a little overcooked (we ordered medium rare, it was more medium). I would definitely be visiting this place again.
